Repair of washing machines Kaiser (Kaiser) is not much different from repair of machines of other brands. But there is still some specificity of the work - it relies on the most frequent breakdowns that are characteristic of the SM of this brand.
Consider these failures in detail, and also talk about how to repair the Kaiser washing machine with your own hands.
Frequent crashes of SMA Kaiser
Based on the statistics of the Kaiser service centers, we came to the conclusion that there are a number of “weak links” in Kaiser brand washing machines, which are the cause of problems.
These are the breakdowns of the following parts:
- TEN - a problem of almost any model. It is found equally in both Kaiser Avantgarde and Kaiser W4t10, W-34110 and others. Sometimes the problem with the heater occurs due to factory defects or design features of the machine, but more often external factors are to blame. This can be hard water and scale, voltage drops in the network, low-quality powders.
- Drain system. This problem is characteristic not only for Kaiser cars, but in SM of this brand it is encountered with enviable frequency.
- No less frequent damage is leaks. Rubber hoses and pipes quickly deteriorate in the early years of service for many brands of washers, and SMA Kaiser are leaders in the list of such brands.
Important! The Kaiser washing machine can also disturb owners with problems with closing the hatch, malfunctions in the control board, a slipped drive belt or a broken engine. Such failures are rare, so they can hardly be attributed to typical ones.
We decided to discuss self-repair of problems from our TOP-3 in this article.
We will tell you how to find out the cause of the breakdown and carry out independent repairs at home.
Kaiser machine does not heat water
Kaiser washing machine is usually equipped with a standard heater with the following parameters:
- Length - 280 mm.
- Power - 2000 watts.
You can easily find the heater in a specialized store or on the Internet. Prices range from 600-900 rubles. Therefore, do the repair yourself if you want to significantly save.
To replace the heater, follow these instructions:
- Unplug your washing machine.
- Block access to the water supply and access to the sewer system.
- Expand the washer with the back panel toward you.
- Remove the 4 bolts that hold the back wall.
- Remove the rear access panel.
- Below, under the tank, you will see 2 contacts, from which wires extend. This is the heater. Rather, it is only the shank of the heater - the element itself is located under the tank, so it warms up the water better and faster.
- Check the heater using a tester. The working element will show a resistance of 24-26 ohms. In the event of a breakdown, the multimeter displays 0, 1 or ∞.
- Remove the wires coming from the heater and the temperature sensor (it is built into the heater itself).
- Unscrew the fixing nut, remove the heater with the gasket (you still have to change it).
Important! Sometimes, to get a heater, you need to make considerable efforts. But do not pull by the contacts - it is better to just loosen the part and slowly pull it towards you.
- Unpack the pre-cooked new tubular heater that fits your Kaiser model. Just in case, check it with a tester to make sure that it is working.
- Install in the groove in place of the old heater.
- Lead and connect all necessary wires.
- Screw the back of the washer.
- Connect the AGR to all systems.
- Run a test wash and make sure everything is done correctly.
Attention! The actions described in the diagram above are relevant for the Kaiser front-loading washing machine, such as Kaiser Vanguard and the like.
Kaiser washing is leaking
If the Kaiser washing machine has leaked, the instruction manual may not help - it is better to find the breakdown yourself, find the cause of the leak and fix it.
Important! Before proceeding with the repair, unplug the machine from the water supply and place rags under the housing so that they absorb water that you will drain from the filter.
How to drain the water:
- Locate a small access door at the bottom of the machine.
- Open and find the big cover.
- Unscrew her.
- Drain the water.
- Clean and rinse the filter.
Next, you need to check all the hoses and pipes that could leak.
Water inlet hose
This hose connects the water pipe and the filler system of your washing machine. You can easily find it from the back of the machine. Carefully inspect the hose; there may be creases, cracks, or holes on it.
If the problem is in it, buy a new one and install as follows:
- Disconnect the hose from the water supply.
- Install a new hose by connecting it to the water supply and manually screwing it onto the washer housing.
Water drain hose
The drain hose is checked and changed in exactly the same way. This is an easy operation, so we will not describe it in detail.
Branch pipes
The nozzles are inside the machine, so to check them, you have to disassemble it almost completely. Think maybe it’s worth calling a wizard.
Inside the car there are about a dozen parts that could provoke leaks:
- Drain pump (pump). It’s good that the pump for the Kaiser washing machine is on sale, so you can change it manually, having pre-delivered and checked. The video will help you with this:
Kaiser machine does not pour and does not drain water
Possible reasons:
- The drain pump is broken.
- There is a blockage in the drainage system (water drain pipes, drain hose, drain filter, pump).
- Poor water.
- Water Gulf Filter Clogged.
- Lack of water in the water supply.
- Weak pressure in the water supply system.
The last two problems have no relation to the health of the machine.
How to determine the failure of Kaiser cars yourself
To help the user, the manufacturer of electronic washing machines Kaiser has provided fault codes. They will warn about the failure and help to find out the cause of the failure.
As a rule, these are the following error codes: E01, E02, E03, E04 for CM with the Logic control system; T95, T40, T30 for SM with RV Ecotronic system. Consider the most common of them.
Codes | The essence of the breakdown |
E03, T95, T30 | Errors reporting clogged water drain filter or drain hose. |
E02, T95, T0, T60 | Error codes that indicate problems with water pressure or clogged hose, water inlet filter, solenoid valves. |
E07, T95, T60, T40 | Errors can report a water leak (depressurization of the tank, violation of the integrity of the nozzles). |
As you can see, you can fix minor damage yourself.
And if it is a bearing or stuffing box on a Kaiser washing machine, repair or replacement of the control unit is required, it is better not to risk the serviceability of expensive equipment. Assign the work to a specialist.
